Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. She was the first American female gymnast to win four gold medals during the same Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to ever win consecutive World All-around Championships (2013-15). Biles was raised in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan region after she and her sister Adria was adopted by grandparents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone was first introduced to the sport of gymnastics through her daycare instructor Aimee Borman when she was six years old. Biles stayed with Bannon's Gymnastix for eleven years. Biles won the vault and floor exercises at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before going to the top competition levels in the year 2011. Her dominance in the sport came in less than a year. Her consistency, her vivacious attitude and level of effort in her four events -- vault uneven bars, floor exercise, vault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise, and floor exercises -- helped to set her above the others.
